Voices in the dark.. Xizandra: (shaken) What was that?... Felarind: (deep voice) Khargs!..The wildest beasts one can imagine..huge and extremely fast... A group of the rangers join quickly. Zhouvalkar the dwarf: ..Sounded like someone stepped onto a big dog's tail!.. Jago: A way to distract when they come, a volunteer?.. Zhouvalkar: ..Did some one said you lacked humor?.. Jago: Xizandra, get into the house... Xizandra: No! I feel more safe together with you!.. Zhouvalkar: ..Yeah, the finest bunch of murderers, killers and.. Amthar the blackelven: Shut up and listen!..Elmessiar and I try to track them.. The roars from the khargs echoed through the many valleys around them..After spending some time listening to the scary screams, Amthar broke the silence in the group. Amthar: I counted eigth creatures at least.. Elmessiar the lightelven: Maybe nine..not sure..I try to figure out how far away and how fast they're moving... Amthar: East, south and west...trying to get us moving north?.. Elmissiar: They are absolutely on their way to our position here.. Zhouvalkar: Cool..Let's get to the horses..eh, how long time do we have?.. Elmessiar: They probably are here before daybreak..the horses can't outrun them anyway in the mountains...we stay here.. Amthar: Agree..where is Nightshade?.. Jago: Worfrant looking for him..Nigthshade must have heard the roars of the khargs .. Amthar: ..Jago, get all except the elves inside..we stay outside tonight watching and listening.. Jago: Wise spoken..come guys.. Zhouvalkar: ..Never thought I would miss Darkhawk, our beautiful demon lady, so much.. Elmessiar: Khargs have blood and do bleed..enough to know.. Zhouvalkar: ..then I put my money on you, elvenman.. Felarind: I stay outside too, inside I can't protect my friends.. Amthar: Good idea.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was next little chapter of my story "Sevaril". Here are two more characters presented, the seventeen year old girl Xizandra and the giant Felarind of the Arkareen race. Xizandra was the only surviver after a raid in a small settlement in the Middle Wuir Mountains, a part of the giant mountain range dividing the kingdome of Korr from the northeastern highlands, the Elven race's homeland Ventrauill and the big steppes in the east. The rangers took her with them and she have travelled around with them for a year. She is no heroic person but all take care of her and she helps as she can, like assisting the halfling chef, Sinassa. Felarind have been with the rangers for eigth years. When he was young and drunk he killed three of his own kin and had to get away. He joined the rangers like many others by chance. He is a kind person as long he don't touch alkohol. His sheer size has a calming effect everywhere they come, and in fights and battles he is a devastating powerhouse with his ver big axe. Secretly he admires the beautiful halfelven, Linu le Ann with the divine voice.. I try both to introduce the different characters and at the same time tell a tale about them. Only one person in this group is missing to be told about now, maybe someone can guess who it might be?.. Have a great upcoming weekend! :o) JohnnyC / Rhanagaz
