Description
Entering the room I immediately see what had Titans full attention, gold and precious stones covering the floor and creeping up the surrounding walls. I'm in awe myself, never before have I seen such accumulated wealth in one spot, I doubt few royal families even have this kind of treasure. But, even as impressive as it looks something about it feels wrong, I just can't seem to put my finger on it. That's when I notice Kortt on the far wall rubbing his hand along the stone, It appears he is checking for something, but what?
"This is amazing, but for some reason I expected more." I say.
Kortt continues running his hand along the wall as he replies.
"This is a decoy chamber meant to satisfy would be thieves."
No way.
"All this is merely a decoy? That seems unlikely."
Kortt stops to look at me.
"Think about it. Where are the weapons? The armor? The items? Did you come here searching for gold or..."
He's right, that's what felt off, only gold and gems are here.
"So we need to go back? Try another direction?"
I can tell he hears me but I don't seem to have his full attention. If I didn't know better I would almost think something has him concerned. That's when he says...
"Stay alert, ever since we entered this room I can longer sense magic. From the moment I entered this tomb magic has been strong and always present, yet now for some reason I feel nothing.
"Like I was saying, maybe we should check another area." But no sooner do I finish my sentence and Kortt replies.
"NO, we are on the right track. Help me search the walls, I'm betting we'll find a secret passage leading us to the true treasure. What better place to hide it than in plain sight?"
Coins begin rustling behind me, I quickly spin expecting something bad but only find Titan and Bit messing around. Titan seems to have climbed up one of the larger gold piles and Bit seems bound and determined to remove him from it. Unfortunately for him he doesn't seem to be having much luck, but...regardless it's good to see them having some fun. I head over to the wall and begin looking for anything out of the ordinary. We search for what feels like forever, cold rough stone is all their seems to be. Soon I find myself thinking about Hayden and the horrors she could be facing in the hands of the dark child. He promised he would save her life and return her to me safe and sound in exchange for a book, how I will know this book when I find it I'm not sure. I entered this tomb originally searching for a weapon capable of destroying pure evil, my instincts tell me I may have already found
it. In my moment of peril The Broken Arrow appeared saving my life, though I still don't fully believe he is who he says their is no doubt that he is extremely powerful and a great asset to freeing Hayden.
"Tate, I need you to realize how dangerous Kasza'Zuel is, he cannot be trusted under any circumstance. Never forget though he appears to be a child he is really one of the eldest and most powerful demons out there. I'm not saying he won't honor your agreement but the second he has that book, the rules change!"
"Ok, I can't worry about that now, right now I just need to find the book and get her back." He seems open to talking so I take advantage. "Can you defeat him if necessary?" I ask
Kortt hesitates then replies.
"I hope it doesn't come to that...let's pray it doesn't come to that."
"His lack of an answer tells me he is scared of the demon and anything that can scare the Broken Arrow, well the thought of that just terrifies me on its own."
Suddenly I feel one of the giant stone slabs shift ever so slightly under my hand. I stop, apply more pressure and see a portion of the wall slide away revealing a secret passage just as Kortt said. I can't help but smile.
"Kortt, over here. I found it."

Brilliant!! Love it. But part 31? I seem to have discovered the story late, I'll have to go back and catch up. To bad it's not in the writer's gallery, I might have discovered it sooner. Your characters are really intriguing.

Hey! Good to see you´re going on! I want more..... more..... more.... Still thinking about Kortts role in this. Could be a good actor, as well as an hero. And I´m thinking about the powers of Tate. Hope we will see more of them, when the story continues.
