Description

in the UK who are suffering from the rash of storms. A taxi driver was killed late Friday in central London near Holborn subway station when part of a building collapsed during a windstorm, police said. She was identified as Julie Sillitoe, a 49-year-old with three sons. An 85 year old gentleman died on the Marco Polo when a freak wave broke the windows of the ship's Waldorf Restaurant. and in Hertfordshire, north of London, residents of 17 homes were evacuated Saturday after a 20-foot (65-foot) deep sinkhole developed overnight on a quiet residential street. These and others like them, keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Pray that the storms end soon so life around the world can go back to what we hope will be normal.

We should make us all worry about the weather. Of course, we as cyclists do not emit as much CO2. But anyone who thinks they have to drive a big SUV, bears part of the blame for the death of many other people ... Very nice fractal!

outstanding dedication. even when disasters happen and people donate money, seldom does the money go to those in dire need. even the millions donated to the Philippines typhoon was sent to local mayors that gave the money to those that vote for them . mean time streets are still littered with debris and people go without homes

wonderful dedication. The scary thing is that over the past couple of years the number of bad storms per year have been on the rise with no sign of it decreasing any time soon. The winter here has been unusually cold and windy.

A beautiful tribute to my fellow Great Britain's my friend, my heart goes out to all of those people and their loved ones and to the many who have not been able to vacate their homes since before Christmas, it is a very sad time here in the UK at the moment with much flooding, and the storms are said to come back again next week. In the meantime many sink holes are appearing, also the land floods will take ages to disperse! Thank you for being so thoughtful, hugs Jane xx

A wonderful dedication to a sad situation. The photos are stunning, the volume of water is astounding. I can only hope it's not going to settle into this pattern every year. At least Cameron seems to have noticed that some infrastructure repair is needed!
