This page contains samples of some of my best artwork and various 3D models to date. Feel free to comment on anything you see here. BIO I have been an artist all my life from sculpting to painting to building ships in bottles I have had a hand in nearly everything. Several years ago I was given a glimpse at what a computer could do when an artist was at the helm. I quickly learned that the way to express myself and bring my visions to life was 3D art. I have a background in printing, graphics communication and advertising design. I became lead modeler at Faultline Studios and worked on illustrations for the card game "Crown of the Emperor". I have worked on several book covers and enjoy bringing ideas to life.
I am now lead graphics artist for RonEd Media and have continued to increase my abilities and portfolio. My goal has been to do illustrations for a sci-fi book, magazine or non-fiction titles on the paranormal. I enjoy creating various images usually sci-fi in nature that center on the darkside or human thought and technology. The many "what ifs" that fill our minds at dark hours and the need to believe in other things that give us hope in dark times. I have learned to use many programs and will likely learn many more to help in telling my stories better. The latest addition to my pallet is Vue 8 Complete and the results are amazing, expect more. I would like to thank Sci-fi channel and Sci-fi weekly for allowing me to share some of my visions with the world " My latest contribution to the 3-D world is the Cydonia model and material sets, a joint project between me and Gill Brooks. You can also find my "Shattered Worlds" sets and materials for Vue and Poser in the market place.

Simple image, girl of poser. The background is very simple and texturing is bad. The clothes of the woman are very ugly but it is not bad idea, and the sky is good.

Ahh ok so you like it then :o)

Personally myself, I like the image. I like the woman's facial expression. I think the background has a nice soft hazy look to it. Keep up the nice work. I enjoy seeing all of your little creations :o)

I know it was mostly a lighting test, and the lighting really does a good job setting the mood. But if you post a scene, expect crits on the whole scene. Here is what I get.

I have to say that I always get get excited when I see human models in the TN and then I see the full view and it's only Poser. I wish everyone would keep poser in the poser postings... so I dont waiste my time. The is not a personal comment just an overall opinion... after all modeling the human figure is one of the most difficult tasks to be done with a 3d package. Sorry about the gripe.. the clothes look a little "painted on". Overall nice pic, keep at it. ;)

its amazing the lack of respect for other artists we have. if you dont have anything nice to say....... im the guy for crying out loud. there is a HUGE difference between a critism, and whats going on here... id like to know how some else would know if the guy was only doing a lighting test.... (lol, i can imagine magritee..... "...i can see you were only doing a lighting test...") i like the image. thanks for sharing w/ us...

Nice work. Keep it up. There is evidence there of your own modelling, such as the ship. And I like the city scape in the back. There doesnt HAVE to be anything to give a sense of scale... I think you should add a little dull browny yellow ambient light to push the woman into the scene more.

I agree with flamedragon completely. Keep Poser stuff in the Poser section!!! Although I have to say that the facial expression on your Poser model actually looks less corpse-like than most Poser model facial expressions people attempt.

Special thanks to all who contributed help here though there were actually only a few good hints and helpful critiques. I will say this regarding this work. It is a lighting and hair test only, and it is rendered in MAX4 not poser. I use poser models when I can to save time. An artist makes use of all available tools at his disposal and it is not the first time nor will it be the last time I use poser figure models in a MAX scene. I see no reason spending days modeling something I already have access to. If this offends any of you don't look, but it has as much rite to be here as anything else in the comunity.
