Hi, I am Barbara and live in Lincolnshire. I love nothing better than walking with my 3 dogs, (Large Munsterlanders) and taking the camera along. Iam afraid my photographic skills are not very good, I just point and click & hope for the best. Sometimes I do take some nice shots!!
I have lived with this breed since 1986, before that I had border collies. I was told when getting my first Munster, Jenna, I would become addicted and I sure was, owning 7 of this breed over the years.
Although Munsters are a working gundog, afraid I couldn't shoot anything, so we do other things like, showing, obedience and heelwork to music.
The girls are all different & I hope to show that in their pictures.
I would like to thank my good friend Janeeden for persuading me to get started.
Video's & songs for the girls can be seen on www.jendellas.com

Hehe! Buster was NO good at the recall! He would do down sit stay, but when I called he would wander off on his own business.... Grrrr!

I think people still like dogs but sadly due to an increase of stupid people owning illegal breeds or letting potentially badly trained dangerous dogs run amok.. the bad press taints people's perception of dogs in general, especially when the press highlight children's deaths in mauling cases, but compared to the percentage of owners who love their dogs and take care of them it's thankfully a small percentage albeit an unacceptable one that results in deaths. These great shots remind us of the positives and there are many to owning and sharing dogs.. long may that be the case.

I agree with David and yes it is the minority that we hear about in the news that make it look as though we are becoming a nation of dog haters but we most definitely are not. I know there has been bad press lately here what with those stupid people leaving a 6 week old baby alone with their dog, that was horrific and should never have happened, people like that are not capable of having children or dogs!!! I love the photos of you at the carnival with all your doggie friends Barbara must have been not long before you moved this side of the country I am guessing. hugs and love xxxxxxxxxx

Lovely captures Barbara, I think there are many people out there that love dogs But I have to agree with the above post by Mark the media have made dogs to look bad rather than the owners of the dogs who should be the ones that look bad as they have brought their dogs up badly..

Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos and memories with us, Barbara. There are still many of us who love dogs.

it's that 10% of people who should not own any dog, let alone any breed like pit bulls and the like. I've heard the stories about how the dogs just love children and then read about some poor child getting killed by that same breed. Great shots

Bad owners make it for everyone.

I agree with David's comments too. I feel SO strongly about bad owners, it's my opinion that if a dog has to be destroyed for his/her behaviour then the owner should be destroyed too. Get rid of bad owners then there'll be no more 'bad' dogs !! Sounds a little harsh but there you go - I'm very opinionated on some things ! Lovely photos BTW :)

It isn't the dog. It is the human. How many times I"ve seen someone punish their dog for growling .. and then wonder why the dog bit with no warning. The growl IS the warning, and if the dog is not allowed to use his warning .. then what is next? Leya is a bit resistant to the recall, but we're slowly getting there. However, I'm going through treats at an believable rate, and Poor Leya will have to go on a diet when we are done with training, LOL! What good times you had, what wonderful memories.
