Description

Original - on top -captured 3/21/12, at the beautiful El Dorado Nature Center in beautiful Long Beach, California. In an effort to attract more viewers, I thought I might try a new tack and got out my jigsaw last night and went to work on this foto of nature at its nicest. Actually, the biggest problem was not doing the work but finding the most appropriate image to convert to a puzzle. Anyway, beginning with a few pieces, depicted are a few of the steps leading to a completion of the puzzle at the bottom. Better viewed via ZOOM. Allaismalardik.

Oh, nicely done! I haven't done puzzles in many many years, but I always did used to love them. You spent some time on this--great work, Harry!

a fascinating meta-art concept, where you deconstruct and then re-construct a work of art. (It would be fascinating---though immensely time consuming---if it turned out to be a 'different' work of art in the end.) A big verdant/yellow original, with lots of reflections and a sense of being bathed in nature's light. And then, suddenly, all that white, then bits an pieces, and it pieces-back-together in the end. I'd say lots of fun for you, except that I'm pretty sure you had to spend a ton of time doing this---so fun for us, and maybe laborious for you...Well I hope not. The ancient Hindus wrote a passage where a person picks up a rock, and says something like: "In this rock, I see many universes; and in those universes I see many more; and so it goes---universe inside universe, as far as the mind can see..." And he adds: "And that's just ONE rock of countless rocks on this mountain, which is one of countless mountains..." (Something like that.) One wonders, if one picks up one piece of this puzzle, would they see another scene of ducks on lakes, inside? And another inside that, etc? Until, at the final one, one sees a duck creating them all, in his computer...Ah well, early morning musings! Fascinating piece, Harry. Hope it didn't require hours of time. It looks like it would...
