Description

this one is place by The Daughters of the confederacy. I do not know or think they keeping any other graves up here but the confederacy soldiers, They may cut the grass? Maybe the city is cutting the grass. I may start putting these on face book to let people know about this place in they city and maybe some one will know what to do about it if anything? Think I will tomorrow. it late now so if I do not get to your gallery now I will tomorrow that is me on the tomb stone, I keep it big so you can read it easy

It seems they do a lot to preserve these soldiers final resting place. That is such a decent dedicated tribute. Wonderful capture Jocko.

It is selective care, unfortunately wait a generation of so and this stone will fall into disrepair and there probably will no longer be an organization still in existence.

We have a really old cemetery that no one was taking care of and I did an article on it for the local paper. Finally, they cleaned it up.

even though the South's idealism can be debated, the men still died fighting for a few wealthy land owners. there is no good side to any war. yes the victor wins but at what price, just to allow the wealthy to become more wealthy it is good someone looks after the graves, but not hopefully for the wrong reasons that put the men in the graves to begin with
