Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

It's not easy to flip a car, so I'm with you on the "creating your own reality" bit. Great shot from across the street!

both photos are impressive. I don't envy the owner and or driver I do hope that whomever was in that vehicle survived

Yikes! I hate to see that happen...

Excellent capture of a rather worrying situation. It amazes me how cars end up like this along such roads, must have been travelling fast and clipped the curb and over she went. Hopefully nobody was killed or seriously hurt. Bang goes someone's no claims bonus.. usually a write-off in those situations. Doesn't matter how good one may think they are at driving, there are some maniacs on the road who got their license out of a cornflake box, if they wish to put themselves at risk and potentially kill themselves that is fine, it is not to kill or injure other innocent people. Speed does indeed kill... all this boy racer macho crap with fancy souped up cars they think impress the women is becoming tedious.. but widespread around the country.

That's what I call a total loss. No matter how it happened, the main thing is no one was seriously injured. (I hope so.) You were at the right moment at the right place to take the shot.
moochagoo
Very impressive capture. Hope the people are not too much injured.

Just my two cents worth but guys that buy fancy wheels like that (women do not) usually are to be seen speeding, not always, but very often!

Number 4 gets my vote, and I bet it was stolen and racing around by a boy racer that the fuzz were chasing. It always annoys me that they waste resources chasing these little pricks, they should just let them kill themselves. Harsh I know, but who needs such lemmings in society. Of course there is the danger to others that not chasing them down would bring. I think our old bill need to go to the USA and study how to perform the pit manoeuvrings they use there to end chases. Mind you, that said, we don't have the road space here for such a practice. What a cracking bit of reportage, I would have phoned the local rag and asked if they want the shot for a local piece :)

BTW. Is that the famous lamp post we have seen a few nice close-ups of, or just one of them?

Looking at both versions - I am even more impressed with your Tizzy25. Great photos.
