Description

The tears no longer come, how long has it been? Days? Weeks? I really just don't know anymore. I need to accept that I'm going to die alone in the dark...but I can't, I won't. The demon child made me an offer, said he would free me from this place. The problem was his price was just to high so I chose to decline. Now here I sit, starving and alone. "Tate will come...Tate will come." I've started talking to myself, I've convinced myself it helps. "He will find me and free me...Tate will come." "Haha haha, hahaha." Oh no! A child's voice, that means the demon child has returned. "Hayden, oh Hayden...thought I would check in on you one last time my sweet. Give you one last chance to accept my offer, it's not to late to free yourself of this misery. No reason such a pretty little thing like yourself should die alone, starving in the dark. Let me help you." I was wrong, the tears are not gone. "GO AWAY! Tate will find me, Tate will free me." "Oh my dear, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have to inform you that Tate is nearly dead! You see he was over run by a group of hungry trolls, he fought valiantly but their were just to many of them." The tears begin spilling out of me like a water fall, it can't be true. "Take my offer Hayden." "NEVER! I will never do that, I couldn't." The child smiles. "It would be so simple, he trusts you after all. When you exit the tomb all you have to do is step behind him and slit his throat, he will never see it coming. You do this and you will have your freedom back, you can go on living your life. I mean what's the alternative? Dying?" "NOOOOOOOOO, never! Leave me alone." "Hahaaaaha, hahahaaa. Soon your fleshless bones will decorate this chamber like so many others before you. Your death will be slow and excruciating. I will savor ever tear, every hunger pain and when your last breath escapes your withered body I will be here to collect your soul. Then and only then will you truly know what torture really is. Good bye my sweet, goodbye." The last thing I see is him waive his hand in front of himself and suddenly my candle goes out. Darkness over takes everything, I can no longer even see my own hand directly in front of my face. There is a complete absence of light...this is the end, this is how I die. Alone in the dark.

Poor Hayden. The little devil is a real pain in the backside. Hope Tate gets to her soon.
