Whew, it has an almost ceramic feel (the frog), from your luminous capture and postwork. That frog is very alive, and yet it has a "posed" feel, as if it posed for you in a monumental pose. (Monumental for frogs, at least.) (Maybe he fought in WWII.) Beautiful light and dark, vivid sheen and highlights, and you brought out the hues around it so that they not only harmonize with him, but set him off. (I know you've un-focussed the background, but the hues are vivid all the same.) This is so typical of how you treat a subject; it's vivid and brings out the inner life with deep commitment. And the leaf is like a little canyon underneath. Beautiful image, Claude. A friend would say, laughingly, "with all that vision inside you, I hope you can sleep at night..."
