One of the very few camelias that actively likes full sun!
In bloom outside my garden door right now.
It is a beautiful warm sunny gardening day today, at last!

We are still cold, though yesterday was a lovely sunny warm day, nowhere near warm enough to even think about gardening, but no heavy winter coat was needed! And Leya didn't even need her warm coat for her walks! We wont' see flowers like this for many months .. I think spring will be late as the lakes are frozen over, and it will take a long time for the ice to melt and the waters to warm. We'll have cold winds blowing off the lakes, even summer may be a cool one.

A lovely flower but Camellias don't like me I must try one in a big pot sometime. The weather was sunny and warm enough to take off the thick jumpers, my pear tree is looking as if it may pop soon if we get a bit more of this sun but for now it's Snowdrops and Daff's and a tiny Cyclamen which has been moved a number of times and at last seems to like it's latest spot.
