Description

As a small child, I lived in an apartment building beneath the BMT line’s QJ elevated subway in Brooklyn, NY. A snow lover from my earliest years, the dream was to be on a platform with a train approaching, and the snow bombing away. That dream was never fulfilled as a young boy, but this winter has certainly provided many an opportunity to catch such a thrilling snow scene. And the arctic chill here in the Northeast continues into March, with ponds, lakes, and even salt water bays locked in ice, shore to shore. Perhaps one more blitzing snowstorm before the dreaded spring thaw? All models either Bryce5 or Wings3d originals. Post work, lots of it this time, using Paint Shop Pro 8 (PSP8). Thanks for lookin’!

Another great scene and modeling and boy, do the memories keep coming. I remember getting on the Myrtle Avenue El in Brooklyn as a boy with my father on a very snowy evening going to a wedding hall somewhere downtown. The El has long been torn down and my father is now deceased but the memories last forever, thanks gmvgmvgmv. I also like the near white-out effect, makes it look like a real snow blizzard with drifting snow the way I remember them.

Wow! The blizzard effect is excellent. The white background holds just enough detail to draw you in to the image, and there is no doubting the focal point here of the train which looks much more inviting than standing on that platform. Great modelling as usual... I love it!
