Description
Pinatas in a shopping area, at Puerta Maya, Cozumel Island, Mexico. Liked the colors against the blue sky! Pinatas are very traditional at Mexican parties. They are filled with candy, treats and small prizes. The children are blindfolded and given a stick. Each child is given a few swings and when the Pinata is broken open, the children all rush in to gather as much candy as possible. To be honest, many adults get whacked with the sticks before the candy falls free.

I find the stars are most beautiful ... such a great pity that they have to be destroyed, by hitting the c..p (sweets) out of them ! but then again wouldn't it be funny, if they were filled with baked beans - instead ? I have seen so many funny video's of bystanders getting whacked instead of the Pinata's that they should come with a serious health warning or at least some PPE (personal protection equipment)...LOL Nice colourful capture Dana ! ~Cheers~
