Description

For many weeks it was too wet to take a dog with 4" legs on the heath, but finally we had a lovely walk up there this week. It does seem strange to be without Buster who so loved swimming in the stream, but it was a gorgeous day. The bluish trees in the distance are the pines and firs on the railway embankment of the Bournemouth to Weymouth line. See a view looking the other way to the west as the mist burned off Here

This is a very lovely scene Andrea and it is good you remember Buster and the good times. The mouse poo you commented to Helle about is probably bats!

I always pictured a heath as a type of field filled with heather. Of course, I got that picture from reading fiction stories so I guess it is to be expected. I am glad to see a photo of the real thing now.

Very nice capture. I'm sure buster is with you in spirit.. not far away, we shall never forget buster and we have plenty of great moments to relive time and time gain by just going back through your gallery, and of course he is with us all when we view every new post.. that amazing swimming image of him up to his neck in it with his tail pointing up when swimming, it always makes me smile... a legend of photographic adventure he was and still remains.

So beautiful, and I'll bet Buster was definitely there in spirit. Glad you and the dogs finally got to get out in the sun.

A lovely image and yes things are drying out nicely and I am sure Busters ghost is still splashing in that stream.

I totally understand what you are talking about. It is strange here, too sharing a dog for walks, Hubby does the morning walk, I do the evening walk. Both views of your walk are wonderful, each has it's charms, looking back at the stand of birch is wonderful, but so it the view going forward.

I love both views. So similar to the wild places I roam here, I think I would feel right at home there.

I really like the birch trees on the FlickR side but is looks like all that rain is turning things green on the RR side.
