YES ! That's a really good painting - good feeling, the calm before the storm. And i love Noir Desir (french band as me :) )

intense painting,i like that le bleu umbrellas, its more expressionistic than impressionistic, guess they r the main theme of it(i would have cut a part of the sky to focus on that)

Actually the sky has to be that large in my intention. Also because the previous one I painted for Flowers and Sky was really.. bad styled, and I wanted to ... show i can paint also a certain decent kind of cloudy one ;) Anyway the blue umbrellas were actually. blue umbrellas, nothing expressionistic there :) it was the real colour they had actually :) Thanx also to you Kooala :)

What is very good is how you did not fight the difference in plumb between the beach umbrellas caused by the incline of the beach and the true plumb of the vertical edge of the building behind. Like the tilted faces in your portraits this takes a lot of patience and practice. Great lines.

Beautiful work Meli. Great colors and composition. Excellent depth! I love the words to the song and wish that I could hear it with the music. Outstanding work!

Incredible, to me - my heart hurts a little, but is lifted at the same time. The light is so poignant. Thank you!

Wonderful range of colour. Yes, you have been able to pull off the sense of depth in the sky. At first i was unsure of the pending storm (darkening clouds in the upper right) because it drew my attention away to quickly, but the column of light clouds in the center draws my eyes down to the beach again. Very good use of colour to direct the viewers eye. Well Done! :) retrocity

A powerful expressive image! (I like the song very much, and I almost hoped to see a picture connected with it)... Great use of colours! (Now I wish you had seen the lighting and colours I saw from my window yesterday morning!...)

Wow, this has turned out a stunning composition in colour Meli..........magnificent !!!! It's not too disimilar to the effect of the seascapes painted by Eugene Boudin, the French Impressionist imo.

Eccellente immagine, Melania! Brava davvero!!! Ciao da Roma!

This is really gorgeous. The sky and clouds are so well done. It kinda reminds me of Italy again...s-gh- I should go back there soon :) From a distance it looks lo life-like! Oh and as far as the pop tunes are concerned...ehm, well...Generation Y (Why?) likes prefabrictaed teenage taste. Or as i could aslo say it: - The cultural farm Where wealth and concept meat Are forged into standards Which we breathe as the rules we read Maybe one day you could teach me italian, so I could say the following quite proficiently: gradisco il modo il vostro combustibile degli occhi il mio battito cardiaco. :)

Ta much to Killer and Synd (do you see someone deleted her rdicolus comment? NOw she's makin abmlober tiresome.. oh, these people living in shadow..)..:P) I don't really get what you would have loved to say in Italian.. but when you like to have teachin lesson, ask me and I am here , and if you'll ever be in Florence, let me know and I'll be happy to show you the town :)Anyway, I put lots of effort in the clouds, i am glad you love them :)

Nice Painting, I especially love the way the brooding darkness on the right seems to be stealing light and colour from the scene, good work! :~? En musique francaise, j'aime Louise Attaque!!

You don't stop to amaze me, Meli! My mind can travel and I can Imagine to be there, with this big and imposing sky, a golden beach and no people there, only the silence, broken from the wind... Excellent to me. :-)
