Description

*Carpe Diem..... before it's too late.* ------------------------------------------------- This is the sketch for the subsequent paint with the same title. This year I am definitely fascinated with landscapes, and again you can see when I sketch for a paint which will gain heavy colouring eventually, I try to be ..."impressionistic" more than detailed, especially when it's about landscapes and not human bodies. It's a veary small paint anyway, and it would have been difficult to be more detailed anyway :)

I like this one a lot. It's fantastic. The absence of strong colours increases the feeling of emptiness.

Maybe use the fingers on fresh pastel to really rub it in. I remember the strike of the beach umbrella people in the 80's. Is this the umbrage from that? sucking in breath!!!!

Well done. You were able to capture the weight of the clouds while still mantaining loose, quick strokes in capturing the scene. My sense of the scene is a cool one because of the clouds, giving reason for it being deserted. Was this the case? :) retrocity

Your drawing looks wonderful and it has a completely special effect without colors... ohhh, we love it a lot :-)))))

I like your justification. The impressionistic technique sure fits in landscapes.
