Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

lol, andrea---mountaineering. (Maybe they studied with Jordan!) Another of your simple minimalist compositions, blackening-out everything but silhouettes, and making a mound with birds on its perimeter. Simplicity at its best---more really fine work. And they're all walking the same way! The right-most guy must be the leader...You did a fine job turning this into essentially a two-tone shot, which is just what it requires to communicate what it communicates. More beautiful minimalist work from you, Marilyn.
