Description

This williamsii hybrid is a most unusual colour for a camelia. The anemone form flowers have 9 white petals and about 50 cream coloured petaloids. As we have had no frost since the flowers opened they are more or less unspoilt! I have posted a rather pretty backlit flower Here

Innocent or guilty? The jury is out on this one. That beautiful and expansive bit of yellow petal fluff in the center of the lovely camelia is a new one on me, which shouldn't come as a surprise in the arena of flora.

First class shot and beautiful too. I have no garden now either and like the comment above you tend to feel it more so during the spring/summer when one tended to potter around in the garden. That is a beautiful flower...so delicate in colours. Nice work.

I'm still skipping around as you can see, but I want to get a sampling each time I'm here. (Slowly I'm catching up with all your recent shots...) A beautiful, dark and 'inward' flower capture---hard to explain 'inward', but it feels like an intimate moment, here. The yellow emerging out of the shadowed white is beautiful. And the big background leaves set it off nicely, framing it for us. A beautiful image of hue coming from hue; with beautiful ruffles in the petals. Very delicate shot.
