I like the blues of the rear building with the spring green and pink of the shrubbery. Beautiful combination, with lovely balance.

Mark, this is indeed a very lovely driveway you have discovered. If one is not careful the delicate beauty of the pink shrubbery can draw you're attention away from the detail of the surroundings. Once one takes the time to focus in it's easy to see why this driveway caught your eye. What with it's detailed pillars and columns, the thing that appears to almost go unnoticed is the beautiful stone drive.

OK, I am sold here. I cannot help adoring this wonderful capture. As I love colors, I cannot help loving the blooming trees and the beautiful bricks and this composition is just brilliant, included the looooveely green bush to the right. It goes so well with the purple blooms to the left and the dark blue hue of the roof of the rear building. One of your best (colored) street shots, in my opinion. :-)

Just love the wonderful contrast of the delicate pink blossoms against the dark brick building. Looks very inviting.

I really like the way the rigid geometry & dark colors of the brick buildings contrast with the free form growth & exuberant brightness of the two trees - that kind of dynamic contrast between organic & inorganic has always been appealing to me. The only thing that could possibly have improved this would be the absence of that car...

In addition to all of the above, my eye immediately found the two pineapples on top of the gate posts... A snippet from "Symbolism of the Pineapple", "To the Carib, the pineapple symbolized hospitality, and the Spaniards soon learned they were welcome if a pineapple was placed by the entrance to a village. This symbolism spread to Europe, then to Colonial North America, where it became the custom to carve the shape of a pineapple into the columns at the entrance of a plantation."

OMG, I didn't know you lived in or even near this elegant driveway. I would have to drive all the way to Brentwood or Beverly Hills to see something so luxurious. Anyway, other than his comment about the car, I echo photosynthesis observation of this terrific photo, Mark. And, really neat Faberge eggs made up like pineapples, sitting at the corners of the entrance.

Fabulous capture and motif, Mark. Absolutely love the architecture. Fantastic expression when sandstone-like bblocks are used on corners, around doors, and as belts in the wall. And the kind od doric/gothic clomuns makes it even more perfect. It would cost a fortune to build a house like that in 2014. The beautiful colors of the trees really add to the capture, In 2014, discount architecture rules :) More square feet for less expenses is what counts, unfortunately.
