My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I have a sense that you were in the ceiling...lol! I love the perspective very much and the colors!! They fit perfectly and the ambience is so warm. I Love the mystery created with the human figure entering in the dark. Terrific photo, once more Tara ! and a PERFECT dedi for Mark:)

breathtaking, yes. It's beautiful, tara. I too had to look for a minute to figure out what I was looking at: I know you told us, but the abstract quality of the image takes over immediately, and then the stairwell begins to emerge. It emerges slowly, and it's wonderful to suddenly "find" it. I didn't even recognize the human until after a few minutes (and Ana helped me see that, in her comment). Your title has a double meaning: The woman descending is wearing a big billowy skirt (or bottom half of a dress), and that could be the hoop skirt. But the stairs themselves are the real hoop skirt, winnowing their way down the way they do...it's beautiful, tara, soaked in that light you've used for years---brownish reds and deep blacks with lots of chiaroscuro. And a sense of winding down into light, which you've highlighted in white highlights on the bottom stairs...And that woman transforms the whole image---terrific touch of intuition! I'll never know how you got her at just that moment. Beautiful, and thank you, and for all your support all these years incl helping me become a better artist and a photographer, it's a beautiful gift and I'm very grateful: thank you so much, I love it. (And you have a 5000 ISO: You got a very smooth, velvety feel for that ISO. You work with low light beautifully.)
