Description
One of the many peacocks wandering freely around the Los Angeles County Arboretum. They are, of course, among the most beautiful of all birds & I thought this one looked particularly spectacular against the background of this tree with bright pink blossoms...

Yes, with SunriseGirl, "your eye for the spectacular is very good". Such clarity on the bird, it's super-real, it has such clarity. And the rest of it bursts with rich hues, and a treatment that gives it an almost etched quality. (Or a textile, tapestry feeling.) An eye-popping vivid capture, with a bird-posture that seems almost posed for you, like it wanted you to do a monumental portrait. Stunning.
