Description
Venice. The Frari’s Basilica. Sacristy.
The sacristy was originally frescoed on all four walls. Today, up above, on the arch which stretches to the apsidal chapel there is a delicate Annunciation frescoed by Jacopo Parisati from Montagnana (1440-1499).
The observer is at once struck by the splendid polyptych commissioned to Giovanni Bellini (1488) by Pietro Pesaro sons.
