YEAR: 1991 FEATURING (L-R): Crystal, Bailey, Kelly, and Venya. Venya's year in Hillville is rapidly coming to a close, and soon she will return home to India. The Generation X'ers decided to squeeze in a pool day before then. Kelly is excited that she is finally old enough to wear a string bikini, and has told her friends it won't seem weird if they all do it. (Venya will not be telling her family about this.) CRYSTAL is usually pretty deadpan, and has a dry sense of humor. She prides herself in being the "sensible" one of this group, although she has been known to occasionally judge reality by the standards of television instead of the other way around. BAILEY is loud, cheerful, and enthusiastic, but is able to "flip the switch" and become frighteningly serious when the need arises. She considers herself to be Kelly's "guardian angel." Also, it seems she has become quite buff. All these factors indicate that Miss Strong might be guiding her... KELLY (Nadine's daughter) is a bit less "motherly" and a bit more fun-loving than her sister Didi. Call it a virtue or a vice, but to Kelly, her friends are the top priority. She is going to positively crushed when Venya has to leave. VENYA is a lot like Kelly, filtered through Indian sensibilities (most of the time). In an age where people are pretty casual with the term "best friend," she and Kelly are truly best friends.
