Thank you for visiting my home page! My real name in John Daniels and I am a software developer that has been playing with digital art for about 5 years now. A family member (grafikeer) got me interested in working with 3D models and that was the end of my free time.
It has taken some time to get a handle on the tools, but I feel I am starting to get hang of it. The next step is to dig into the actual modeling aspect. I have a background in Architectual Drafting and working with 3D modeling for structures etc which I plan to leverage in the creation of my own props, clothing and textures.
The DS Meta data packs that I sell are the result of countless hours of learning and playing with my own content to fully understand how the metadata works and how to create is efficiently. I have over 5500 products in my own runtime that now has Smart Content Meta Data. I have been putting together packs that I think make sense and selling them here in the Renderosity Market Place. I picked up ZBrush and I am working on learning how to use it so that I can start creating my own content to publish, I have many ideas, but it will take some time to master the tools needed to bring those ideas to life...

Much better, now we can see them, and your work,clearly...like how the lighting gives the eyes an eerie glow. Not familiar with DazStudio as a render program...I don't know what would be required to soften the cast shadows and make them a little lighter overall( I would use Global Radiosity in Vue),but that would be my only suggestion to add even more...excellent work all around!

LOL, I guess I went too far. I removed the shadow bias and softening to remove the gain in the shadows as they didn't look right with the increased luminosity of the lights. I am glad this was just an experiment! :-)

Wow JD, that really does change the atmosphere of the entire image. I won't disagree with what Neil said, but, this image like so many others in DAZ could have the lights tweaked a thousand different ways and you'll get a thousand different people saying "maybe if you change it just a little more like this..." (LOL) I'm just glad you got a couple of opinions from fellow artists, you implemented their suggestions and came up with this. In the course of it all, we all gained something. Nice job and THANK YOU for listening.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback, I truly appreciate constructive criticism from any and all sources. I think it is what makes it possible to learn from each other and become better at our craft.

Sharing ideas puts art at its best ! I agree with all of you from the first render to this one...even if, more thna these lights used, I may be had draw/sculpt their shapes with a light getting from behind as a nebula or a "sun"... :-D*
