What on earth is on the sidewalk in front of them that caused them to both have that expression? You've become quite adept at capturing people, despite your initial hesitancy. This is great!

Once again Mark, you have come up with a stunner of a presentation. As already pointed out you are becoming so good at not just spotting these photographic opportunities, but also in timing you're captures out to make the most of them. After a closer examination I've reached my own conclusions about what has gotten their attention in this photo. My best guess is that sudden movement by the pooch caused the lady to avert her attention to see who was emerging from the subway or lower level area, while the gentleman coming up from there appears to be in deep thought and his focus is more inward in nature.

INTRIGUING SHOT: WHAT MAKES THEM LOOKING A BIT DISGUSTED? LOL!

The happy couple? I wish I could interpret that from this provocative pic. Did this assumed couple just split paths during the walk, only to meet further along the way, or were they merely strangers, inadvertently destined to coincide with each other? They don't seem to know each other, but one can draw more than one assumption when viewing this wonderfully composed photograph of the two wending their way through the park, Mark. That red ball in the center reminds me of our Target stores.

You just never know who or what you'll see on a city street. she seems a little startled and all he's doing is standing there. once again, you've caught a wonderful urban scene, full of questions and interest!!

I understand this shot as I saw your upload on the first image which is your last image. anyway I remember in my past that I too put fear into people by just walking by. Guess big people do that to people. Guess it in us to fear big people too with stories of giants around the world and how evil they was? I know back in my youth I scary people but now I do not wish that at all. I never got mad at people but wonder why they fear me. All I can say is long hair but then I cut that off and they still fear me so I guess it my size.

oh forgot to say no one fear me now and I happy. guess it is old age that help me

A very candid shot. Her and the dog look concerned.

Alone together? Both look awfully preoccupied with some not-happy thought. Excellent candid, Mark!

This is like a photographic Rorschach test - everyone has their own interpretation, which I suspect reveals more about them than about the people in the photo & the situation. To me, it looks like they both are deep in thought about some issue of their own that has nothing to do with each other. The dog looks like he is in a heightened state of awareness as he sees the man emerge from the subway, but aside from that, I see no connection between the two people other than the coincidence of their being in the same place at the same time & both lost in thought. I could be way off base, but that's my response to this Rorschach test & I'm sticking to it...

Very cool capture, Mark. Captured in a split second. A good shot that tells the story from your newest upload. Walking in their own thoughts, It seems that both of them maybe scared each other. But good to know it ended up with a friendly handshake, instead of a fight. I didn't know there were still racial tensions in Chicago in 2014.

It is such a fun sjhot, Mark. :) I smile when I see her expression. Maybe her dog is a fearful one so she wont expect help from it, if she should get assaulted or she could have a dog that is the pack leader instead of her and would be the assaulting one. It sure is staring at the guy. She does look pretty nervous to me :-) And the poor guy is just passing through LOL! Awesome shot. :-)))
