When I first read the title, I thought you were telling us the name of some hideous disease that is sweeping the world and that you just learned about... I can hear the Doctor say, "I'm sorry old chap, but you have Ranunculus and I'm afraid there is no cure! Would you like a cup of tea?" Great capture of this lovely flower

About as close to being a rose and not being a rose as depicted in this marvelous macro of the Ranunculus bloom, Andrea. Beautiful orange textures.

You can post your flowers anytime, m'dear, they're beauts. This is beautiful, looking straight at us, and the folds and those yellow highlights are gorgeous. A wonderful head-on portrait of this beautiful flower---and a terrific hello to spring, which you've already greeted with your eye popping garden montage. As harry says, this is as close to being a rose and not being a rose...it's a beauty.

Such yummy colors! I like the loose form (well, it's loose for a ranunculus) ... so lushly beautiful!

Gorgeous .. especially on a cloudy dull and somewhat raw day we had today! And I loved Faemike's comment, giggles!! Ranunculus does sound rather like a dire diagnosis by one's doctor!!
