Description

Normally the BMW R-75 heavy motorcycle had a sidecar. I have seen pics of the vehicle without a sidecar, probably a loss due to a wreck. It was used in panzer units for reconnaissance among other duties. I hope to do a render of the sidecar version in the future. BMW R-75: I'm drawing a blank on where it came from, but I heavily modified it and textured it. Driver: Apollo Max figure free online, and uniform by adh3d available here on rendo. The only nitpicks I have are the clean front of the engine (no mud), the bright, clean logo on the tank and the lack of fresh tire tracks from his bike.

Hi Bill....While 62guy has a point... its probably only fair in that you have otherwise done such a terrific job on this. I am really impressed with your extra texturing of dirt and grime, but then you are a true artist/painter and have all the skills to do so. I am also really impressed with how you have eliminated the normally puffy clothing from adh3d. Your pose looks so natural. If this was my work I would have a hard time not doing a series of renders from this outstanding comp to one of smoke rising from action in the far distance. I always like your work, but its wonderful to see something like this from your normal aviation comps.

Excellent work Bill. You've done a very good job of making the bike and rider grubby as they would be in this scene. Top marks mate and a fav.

I think London224 has said it best, great to see this character as the focal point, along with his bike, rather than a background 'player'. I'll offer in addition, " it looks like snow clouds moving in, so we could be out East. A heavy frost over night has left the ground frozen, so no fresh tyre tracks".......who knows? I just know that I see a great character study by a 'true artist', great work Bill as always. I look forward to more along these lines.....10/10+

Nice work. You did a good job with the dirt and grim on the boots and tires. As London224 mentioned the uniform looks much more natural than normal "out of the box."
