FIne bright detail on its head, as contrast with that massive shell (which looks really massive in your closeup---makes one wonder what it's like to walk around with that, all one's life). And he emerges into the shot, with your crop. And the water---it's like rippling silk! Amazing effect, and fine contrast to the turtle's mass and coloring. Deep shadows too. Fine capture of the massive presence of a turtle, with intense light, and silken water ripples...

Oh, Yes! An excellent close-up and it looks the same as our east coast cooter (Pseudemys concinna).
