Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I remember Harrods having lots of dead birds hanging from the ceiling. I bet Ralph would like those too, especially the Grouse!

In the words of Colonel Sanders : 'finger-licking, lip-smacking good' - YUM, that was great! - any more eyes ? what's for deserts ??? this is just too funny Andrea, Jeff and I got a good laugh out of this ... BB

Al-fayed made a mint from these, they were all over London at one time. And Brucie even had them on the conveyer belt "Cuddly toy Cuddly toy "

I love the other photo, Ralph's expression seems to state that he had dastardly plans for this one and you best stay away, especially if you are squeamish! Both shots are wonderful will you be posting the aftermath?

Why kill it when you can join it in the sofa? :-) Wonderful shot.

I like that background very much! Pretty cool 60's look :) It is ever so sweet with Ralph in the back there, looking mighty happy and satisfied! What a sweet image!

We have an expression: "there you lick your fingers off", if you find something really yummy. So, I think, that Ralph has to look forward to that bears intestines. Such a funny picture, Andrea.

Wonderful portrait of of the couple relaxing at the recycling center, A. Ralphie must have felt deep in his canine brain that this eyeless Teddy was no sentient being, and not the threat that his regular prey of fox provides.

Ha from Harrod's, what a bargain! he seems to be proud!

Cute photo of that chop-lickin dog.

Soft toys don't last long at all around here either; my beastie just has to open them up immediately and see what's inside. At least Ralphie is napping before he begins the torture!

Oooohh! It'll be stuffing city around there soon enough! :) Back seat of a Jag, huh? Fond memories?

Such lovely shots, I'm sure he is admiring the fact the bear has an almost matching coat to him. Like the group shot with the two bears.

my last three all had an extraordinary talent for pulling the innards out of the teeniest hole without ruining the skin .. they would've had a wonderful career in an Egyptian mortuary back in King Tut's day, grins. The flickr image looks quite ominous .. Ralphie is obvious scheming and plotting against the stuffies .. formulating a plan of action. In this one, he's already salivating and soon the slaughter will begin. wondering along with Mike, will see the killing fields? Perhaps we are being too, I dunno, morbid?

Has Ralph eaten Teddy's eyes.

Yeah, the tongue really does it. The other shot, he looks like he's pals with the stuffed animals. Here, he looks like he's planning the meal. A delightful shot, and I imagine a stuffed bear from Harrod's would be a wee bit costly for a dog to rip into, right? Maybe that's all the more motivation for Ralph---stick it to the rich! It's a fascinating photo, because the jaguar background seems almost flat, and it's hard to tell if they're resting on something or what. Another lovely dog photo.

The 'teddy' doesn't have a prayer. I am betting the 'teddy' goes first. Ralph's tongue makes this photo and the extra bear does the same over on FlickR!
