Description
So these guys are 2 weeks old here. They seem to be quite bored with the nest this year. I have watched them spend a lot of time just picking up sticks and putting them in other places. This is the first chicks I have seen do this. They double their size every week for the first 5-6 weeks. When they fledge at 12 weeks they will weigh about 10 pounds.

Beautiful shot. You're making good progress with the new Canon camera. I find your observation regarding the sticks very interesting - they may be a very intelligent couple of little ones. And that can spell trouble, falling out of the nest as curiosity gets the better of them. I do certainly hope not! It's a long ways down to the ground. And even if they survive such a long drop, how does one get them into the nest again? Does mom eagle know how to do an air lift?
