My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Stunning! The light makes it so complex within a powerful design, very visually exciting.

You really covered it all in this image Tara. Vertical, horizontal, angled, curved, light, shadow, textures, patterns, wood and stone. Like Andrea said.

Love the way the shadows intersect with the structure & the interplay of the different color tones. Outstanding composition...

Another highly expressive architectural capture, with all kinds of textural contrasts, and shadow contrasts too, with different directions, perspective lines, all of it. You got a beautiful sweep, and also a kind of "mass" that makes it feel very here and now, almost squat. You brought out the contrasting shadow lines beautifully. And fine contrast of reds with yellows, and rich deep yellows too (on the left). Another easeful exploration of architectural counterpoint, and it feels very pleasing and inviting. I had to look it up to know what this might be. It's a beautiful structure in your hands. More fine architectural capture, Tara. Tara, I've done 6 of your beautiful images this morning, so I have to move on. As I say, it's a temporary return to RR...but you know I see every one, and I'll be back for the others soon. They're all worthy, I just have to pick and choose when there are many. But beautiful work all around, as always.

I always am so very surprised by looking at your gallery, Tara. You always have such special ones. The mood always is wonderful, as every image has something extraordinary. Here I admire the lines, light-shadow, the pattern of the different stones-bricks. It's like I can breathe this picture, dear friend.
