I can imagine the original owner wondering where the chair went, one assumes it was washed away by the flooding?

Maybe someone was fishing there, all you need is a rod and some bait and the chair is provided. Interesting discovery and capture. I like both versions.

Two excellent images. A very strong feeling here of someone who is no longer with us. Perhaps a fisherman.

OMG, a lonely chair sitting on the banks of the river Avon, situated in an environment which looks very much like jock500's Louisiana cajun swamp territory. I suppose the chair is there for anyone preferring to do a bit of fishing. Awesome depth, quasi silhouetting and contrast in this pic, Andrea.

This one seems friendly, restful, welcoming. The other feels more solitary with a clear "don't bother me" message. I love seeing both versions!

Both are marvelous Andrea. I love the post work. But I think I prefer this one, it has a warmer hue, I think, and I like the way the branches at the forefront of the picture hang.

I see that sort of situation around here sometimes, a chair on a beach by a lake or river or creek; the plastic chairs are cheap and cheerful, and no great loss if left behind. They do make a great photo though!
