Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Extraordinary. I've never seen so many eggs in one nest. Mom is going to be very busy even if the father helps out. Absolutely keep us updated.

Wow, a regular egg laying machine, mum is. When these hatch, there will be a brigade of little tits to tend to. That said, splendid POV and detail in this image, A. Those speckles bother me though.

I thought of this nest yesterday when I cut Bill's hair. I always give him a trim outside and leave the hair for the birds. Such a cozy shot!

Nice shot! Good to see so many eggs laid.

I really like the nest, in zoom the dog hairs really stand out. The eggs are very pretty too. They look like they've been spatter painted

Very lovely to see Andrea and I hope she will be successful with all of them.

This is very egg..citing! I sure hope they are able to handle all those babies and keep them fed. I will also be very interested in the updates. I always thoguht the birds stayed on the nest to keep the eggs warm, but I guess she takes off long enough to give you a photo opportunity. I have never had a nest I could watch like you are doing. Thanks for sharing the progress.

Very attractive eggs, she's clearly working her percentages here... it will be interesting when they hatch. Some great shots to come when that time arrives.

It is so wonderful that Buster is nurturing the little birdies; what a great shot!

What a cracking shot!

I saw the same rabbit face as Cheryl - it could be an early Easter thing. Eleven eggs are a lot. Things will be hectic for this young mother soon enough!
