Coming from a Jewish household as I do, there's always a sweet feeling when Passover (Pesach) comes, the same week as Easter. Monday night and Tuesday night were the first two nights of Pesach, and they're intimately related to Easter and other spring/birth festivals around the world. Bunnies-as-spring-symbols probably go back way before Christianity, as they symbolized fertility and birth for many. Eggs too. (Well that's obvious, lol.) And of course flowers...This has the feeling of a nativity scene---not Christian per se, but about birth overall. There's an infant feeling to it, in the best sense, celebrating something new and pure. One reason is that the bunnies look very young. And they're surrounded by what I think are very young, fresh flowers, not flowers which have matured for a while. Your eggs are like jewels, or made of some rare stone...they have a sheen and are quite beautiful. (The House of Faberge would approve, I think! The top left eggs look like they're made from some purple tinted silver.) The big circle of flowers and eggs around the bunnies make a lei, a garland, and also a lush bed on which the bunnies lay. (They're resting, and the one on the bottom is definitely snuggled in for the day! His eye is partly open as if to say, "yep, I'm not goin' anywhere right now, that's for sure...") A big lush basketful, with flurries of pinks and whites and slate-pinks and on...it's beautiful, and surrounded by floral hints and whispers in the background...Happy Easter to you too. I hope yours is very sweet!

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment, Mark. I'm surprised and thrilled you saw the suggestion of a nativity scene in this art. You are always so keenly observant it amazes me. I was also going for a feeling of newness and freshness, with a relaxed and contented mood. Though I never received a rabbit for Easter, just wonderful baskets filled with goodies, and dressing up in pink flowered dresses and going to church, I do have very pleasant and happy memories of past Easters. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Passover.
