Description
Special Notes: I believe the next story told will be The Princes. though it may not be as you think it will. I may even mix a bit of the Black Guard into the story. Working on the details now.
Special sneak peek excerpt from the Moeth Book II.
"Where do you think we are?" asked Moeth.
"Somewhere south," replied Raen. "It was hard to tell blindfolded."
"They'll be looking for us by now," Moeth ran her hand over Raen's wings, he winced slightly. "Still sore?"
"I can't move them yet, the wing blade is still trying to heal," said Raen. "Getting shot really hurts."
"Which way should we go?" asked Moeth.
"Let's just get as far away from those men for now," said Raen. "We need reinforcements before we can go back and kill them."
A twig snapped somewhere nearby and Raen pointed and ran, Moeth followed. The sun was at mid-day and there was no shadows to hide in. They ran through the brightly lit forest trying to escape from their captures. Raen saw figures moving through the forest ahead and grabbed Moeth, pushing her to the ground.
"We're surrounded," whispered Moeth.
Raen crawled through the underbrush and Moeth followed. The men were getting closer and Raen squeezed himself and Moeth under a fallen log until the men had past.
"They're all around," whispered Raen. "I don't know which way to run, get ready to fight."
"Raen, look," whispered Moeth.
"Yes, they are adorable, but we don't have time to bird watch," Raen said looking at the two baby Raven birds Moeth had pointed at.
Moeth held her hand out and the smallest of the two baby Raven's flew down and landed in her hand. The other baby Raven flew towards Raen and then turned an flew through the trees a short distance and returned. Raen held his hand out and the bird landed in his palm. Raen looked at Moeth, the baby Raven she was holding was now sitting on her shoulder and nuzzling her cheek.
"I think they want us to follow them," said Moeth crying.
"What are you crying about?" said Raen. "You know we are being hunted, lets go."
Raen didn't really have a good idea which way to go so he ran in the direction the baby Raven had shown him. The bird jumped out of Raen's hand and changed direction several times with Moeth and Raen following. They ran for nearly an hour without seeing their persuers, they had escaped. Raen stopped to let Moeth rest, she was still crying.
"Okay, this was really weird," said Raen. "And what are you crying about, it's not like you to get rattled."
Raen held his hand up and the baby Raven landed in his palm again and walked up his arm.
"Don't you see it?" cried Moeth.
The baby Raven nuzzled against Raen's cheek, the one on Raen's shoulder was slightly larger and a male. Raen finally figured out what Moeth was so upset about.
"Moeth, don't do this to yourself," said Raen. "They are just two little baby birds."
"You know the truth, Raen," said Moeth nuzzling the baby bird on her shoulder.

I think Papa should work some of his magic and "grow" Zan's bear a bit. Very nice peek at part 2.

Oh, come on Dad. Let's not show favoritism. Buy him a bear. You know you can afford it.

My god ... the list of things you can give Zan instead of an equivalent teddy bear must be endless! Is your smart phone about the size of a pad for the dolls? Zan could have the knowledge of the world at his fingertips. Perhaps a jar of jelly. Computer mouse? Mice are furry and friendly. :P Seriously, though, I keep thinking Zan needs a floppy-eared bunny.

Size has nothing to do with love Zan! Sometimes big only means expensive! And 'Oh Ancestors, a reincarnation of two tiny souls' ! Magical and beautiful, both the photo and the writing.

Hmmm. the story...are you coddling us or setting us up? I love the little hint .. sigh .. because, well never mind. I love the bunny idea for Zan, but you know there are advantages to wee bears, they are huggable and snuggable too, and you can take them everywhere in your pockets!
