The pure blacks & pure whites in the foreground & the muted grays in the background create a very dramatic effect & doesn't fit my mental image of Chicago at all. Very nice...

Super duper composition, contrast and effects in this striking image of winter, Mark, more appropriate for northern Canada than urban Chicago. And, how can you afford to post so many images at one sitting? Anyway, see you in two weeks!

Mark, this is quite simply a breathtaking presentation. I can't believe the atmosphere captured in this photo, and would very much like to know how you discovered this location. It is photographs like these that add to the allure of cities like Chicago.

Ah yes, the mountains of Chicago. LOL! I know this pov from other shots of yours, and every time you go there and shoot from this angle it blows me away. It looks like you're looking down on the city from a great height. Okay, anyway, I still can't get my brain around it even though you've explained it a million times. I LOVE this with the snow and your soft treatment. Gorgeous!

Wow, what an absolutely beautiful mood photo, really looks like a dream the way the city is cast in a mystical fog, giving it a fantasy look. Also just love the composition and view from the snowy landscape, and how you have it all framed with those wonderful trees. This one is really nice and extremely creative.

If I wasn't sick of snow I would be tempted to borrow this for a wallpaper. Masterfully done!

This is a dreamy shot, something you'd see in a movie or art show or something quite artsy. It's quite dramatic foto of your cold and snowy city. I get such a great sense of what it's like back there in the winter and feel lucky I only have to put up with rain, well I used to; hasn't rained much the last couple of years.

Fabulous capture and motif, Mark. This is very beautiful and special. Stunning light and atmosphere. I really like how the trees rise, over the mist covered city. It really steps into character that it is a B&W shot. Happy Easter to you and the family.

It is about The Drake, all about The Drake. Just kidding but you've done a marvelous job of advertising for that hotel. The contrast, the B&W, the, yes dreaminess, the softness all make this a wonderful photo. This is a great example of the truth of the score plus the performance. Your performance of this piece is superb.

this could be a color shot but I know winter can be hard on colors and winter turns color into black and white. so lovely

Seeing this very dramatic piece of art with the deep contrast and so dramatic mood and this intence fog over your wonderful city, makes me think about the almost same motif you took one early summer morning. What a fantastic contradictions they are to each other and both are, in their own way, so beautiful that they take my breath away.
