Description
Thank you for your comments on my last post; I need to correct a misconception however. Sadly I am nowhere near retirement - it will be another 23 years before Her Majesty's Government allow me a pension. I took a blood pressure monitor to work and my reading was 185/114. Voluntary redundancy was on offer, so I took it. Rather be healthy than wealthy!!
All being well I'll leave my company in 6 months time, but more importantly, I should leave vertically, not horizontally!!
Pic is one of this year's robins caught in the last rays of sunlight in my garden the other night.
Thanks, as always, for looking, and HAPPY EASTER to all of you :)
~Steve~

Wow, what a horrid BP reading! I hope you have loads of transferable skills. I have to say as I always visualised you as being in your late twenties I was a bit surprised that you were retiring! Another outstanding photo reinforces my feeling that you could make money from your photography.

Thanks DBB. Your faith in me is wonderful! Strangely, BP is 145/89 at home.... But there is no correlation between work stress and high blood pressure. Or no research to prove it, anyhow. Wonder why that is?????????????!!! Not in the interests of the GCP, I imagine........

This is a superb shot, Steve. I agree with Andrea ... your photography is head and shoulders above the pack, and if anyone could make money at it, I think you could. Lighting, detail, sharpness and mood ... this has it all!

Wow that BP was really high. I,m glad you have it lower by now. Now I understand what you said about your camera! But I agree with Auntietk and durleybeachbum, you can make money with your art. So forget about selling it and put it to work. You´are an excellent photographer, Steve!

Yeah Steve. That bp is not bad. My son is a nurse and a lot worse. My bp was with yours. I lowered it with a low sodium diet. "1500 to 2400 mm per day" I use the DASH diet and the Mediterranean diet. It is in the 138/75 range now. I lost 10 pounds in three weeks. lol Nice photo also.

Splendid capture of a beautiful robin! Hope you get better, there is a lot you can do to get your bp lower. And don't stop photography you're gifted!

horiible BP! did you carry a tester for 48 hours? that will show if it is always the same height! and my friend has the same problem with his lower pressure, at home very high and at the doc's normal, although he takes his pill every morning! and stunning is when he lift up his arm there is a lower value as when his arm is hanging down! better not to work, when you are ill the money cannot help you! take care of you! and your capture of the bird is gorgeous! soon you will have time to take photos and you will enjoy it! ;o)

beautiful bird and capture. I have been watching out for a robin nest on my storage building. just one left out of four eggs. I am hoping the other 3 flew away to make more babies of their own
