Description
And a bow wow woof woof back to you!
Pics 1, 2 and 3 are of the same pooch, going through its usual territorial posturing routine, captured 4/17/14, looking down inside a neighbor's patio. Once outside the patio though, it is quite friendly. The ferocious guys in Pic 4 were snapped way back on 8/9/05, somewhere within the vast perimeter of the neighborhood.
A ZOOM would be most appropriate here.
Farvel.

Neat shots of the dogs dad. You do have a way of bringing out the best in them.

Like 'em Harry...particularly the third shot. You've captured such apparent personality:)

What an adorable collection of little doggies, Harry. They sure seem to be riled up at you.

I wonder why they all want to bark at you, Harry? They look like nice little dogs; maybe it's your camera that makes them nervous. The white one looks quite nice, actually. Excellent shots, my friend!

They bark at anyone who threatens their sphere of influence. Actually, I'm often barked at by dogs a block away when I'm walking. And when that happens, it ignites canine barking up and down the block, like a string of firecrackers.

a fine din in perspective, when you walk in your neighborhood ...

Great comment to Denise, about the "string of firecrackers": Yes, dogs do riff off dogs, until a whole orchestra of them barks at once. It happens to me too. This is an audacious montage, because you put that last shot in there, of totally different dogs! But it makes the "coda," the big finish for the 4: It works perfectly. Great expression on the first dog, surveying your presence. And you end in a closeup. You probably know that, when a dog barks but doesn't bare his teeth, he's disturbed but not rageful, and therefore several steps before actually attacking. (When they bare their teeth, it's time to get outa Dodge...that's like us putting up our fists: It's the clear sign of immanent attack.) He looks like he'd be friendly if he could touch you. I love the first one---real dog stuff. The bottom trio look like they're on amphetamines, lol: Big bulging eyes; and your treatment makes them look like they're from Night of the Living Dead. I like the composition, with the three spread out like that. And that bottom-of-frame flower---I assume that's a flower---is like an apparition! A big eerie bark-fest to punctuate the series with a bang. Another delightful series. (Years back, when studying acting---just to learn, not to become an actor---we had to bark for 10 minutes. You can't believe what you do in acting classes...but I can tell you that when you bark for 10 minutes, it unearths this whole other personality in you. You want to get on all fours, wag your tail, and bark up a storm. Barking covers a whole lotta expression that articulate speech just can't. So I understand the joy these dogs get by barking their heads off.)
