Description
I got this shot Sunday morning at 6:45 am. I have learned that
photographing wood ducks is not for sissies. I waited for quite a while for this guy to swim into the patch of sunlight.
Nothing makes the colors come to life like the sunlight.
This handsome fellow was very taken with his reflection.
By the way, does anyone have an idea how to keep my lens from fogging up? It was very humid and very hot.

Sweet work I've no clue - you might want to contact a camera shop and see what they suggest

Beautiful shot of this wood duck! I'm glad you had the patience to wait around for it. This is a great shot! The only sure way to prevent lens fogging is to wait until your camera is the same temperature as the outside air. There are tricks for keeping the camera warm in an air conditioned building, and you might want to try some. Google "camera lens fogging in humidity" or some such thing, and you'll find all kinds of info.

Someone went mad with the paint brush.

I wonder if he understands that he's seeing himself? I've seen so many videos of cats and dogs looking behind the mirror to see if the "other" critter was there. I had Kitty around my neck one evening when she spotted herself in the hall mirror (and, of course, me). She went bonkers - mad! I had to quickly dump her to the floor in order to protect my neck. That really was an unpleasant surprise. Very good job with this photo. And, hooray for your patience! As for the lens fogging - that's due to condensation of warm, moist air on a cool camera lens. Auntietk has the right idea - check the Internet. You could also have a soft lens cloth with you to wipe the lens (but this risks getting dust on the lens, or streaks of moisture). Good luck finding a good solution for your camera! :-)
