Ok, I deleted the previous comment here, and will give you a full one now. (I hope you get the ebot---it's a brand new comment, so it should generate its own ebot.) Without the unicorn, we get to feel the whole rose, and we can feel the journey from the lighter top to the very intense dark center (lower-center) to a slightly lighter bottom. The bottom is in shade, but it's still lighter than the intensity of that center. So you have a big journey here, from top to bottom: another feature in your work, ie how you create journeys across a single subject, such as across a flower, whole bouquet, a leaf, an animal, etc. There are often morphing journeys across these subjects, like that journey comes from inside them. Those deep reds and other saturated hues in the lower center are a revelation; real intensity. Your strokes remind me of Van Gogh. The strokes on the lower portion fan downwards like the flower is spilling its power (it has that much in it). And your textures feel almost fleece-like, but a very coarse fleece; they have a strong visceral sense; again, spirit made visceral. And all that intensity makes the opening to the light---at top left---all the more dramatic; and those stars of light in front of the moon are that much more of a revelation. I loved the unicorn version, but this one has a life all its own: It's like a big dessert made of sheets of the cosmos. I imagine a few bites of this would fill one up for weeks. (One of those desserts that arrives at your table, you think "oh, I'll eat the whole thing, nooooooooooo problem!", then you take a bite and cry, "THAT'S IT---I'M FULL!!!!") A very powerful flower against a luminous background. Splendid.
