I'm with everyone on this: A masterpiece. When I saw it, I went "Zowie!!!" Beautiful backlighting, love the veins---so visceral here---love that you let the sun flare become a major actor in the shot---it is, and it makes wonderful contrast to the dark on the left---and the stamens are the star, sticking into the light and leaving a bold shadow in the petals. Terrific and beautiful work, and very bold. Bell Telephone had a "science series" in the 50s, and their most famous show, I think, was "Our Mr. Sun". (God, does this age me, or what!) In that show, there were shots of the world waking up, with Beethoven in the background. Well, this shot reminded me of that! With Frank Baxter---historian---and I think Eddie Albert. Did ya ever think someone would bring THAT up in your gallery? (I loved that show: It's a compliment, believe me.)
