Description
SO, the real surprise was the mother with no less than 14 chicks. More than that, she had taken them to the pool...
As the chicks could not get out of the pool, I went to dip chicks for a while. I was surprised to see mom doing the "I am hurt, come get me" routine. I have seen other birds do this but had no idea a duck would. All is well now. The new family is quite settled in the pond.

it is funny seeing baby ducks trying to take the first jump into water. I never seen so many ducklings to one mother
