Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
I like those outfits. With her immaculately clad, coiffed and well behaved brood in hand, I felt that this pic would be most appropriate for Mother's Day. I had intended to get a frontal snap of them later on, but couldn't locate them in the massive throng.
A ZOOM, as always, is most recommended, especially for intricate detail.

Oh my, can you imagine getting that lot all dressed and ready to go a-fairing? Must be a ton of work, wonder how many body servants she has? A truly lovely portrait from behind, Harry!

Not easy to make a loving portrait with nothing but the backs of people, but this is loving, and the details make a beautiful tapestry. Because the boys wear jackets with cape-like appendages, everyone here seems to flow from the shoulders down. A processional of fabric waterfalls...And considering the chaos of such a scene (on the street, I mean), you managed to capture a solid composition with the mother as the statuesque center to it all. (It's as if she'd stood there 'for' you.) Man, you really explored a world of visual joys in this series; and, zoomed, we do see the language of pleats everywhere. More fine Renaissance tapestry from you, Harry. This series seems to be unending in its inspiration.
