Description

These are the ruins of the Castle as seen from the South West gatehouse tower. This Castle was the scene of two sieges in 1542 and 1545/6. A lot of the ruins were caused in the fighting between the Royalists and Cromwells army. Much more info for the interested in your browsers. This pic was taken today 13.05.14.
