Description

Here you see the ruins of the castle with the South West entrance in the background. Sir Walter Raleigh once lived here. This was taken yesterday.

wonderful photo! I really like the ruins of the castle used as a separation between sky and meadow with a beautiful cloudy sky

Super sky! I think I would try a crop with much less foreground.

I have to agree with you Andrea and what I also find is that reducing the image, so much for RR, makes it appear out of focus. I can assure you the original is sharp!!

Must agree with Andrea. Try cropping a little at the top and a bit more from the bottom to give a nice panorama feel, BRILLIANT SKY AND LOCATION.

Nice shooting Jeff, sometimes you just got to centre mate, although a crop to thirds would lend this more, I personally think it is still a great shot :)

Fascinating ruins & a dramatic sky. Agree with the comments about cropping out a good chunk of the grass...

Beautiful dramatic sky over the remains of what was once likely a lovely place; personally I like the ruins in their ruined state, but that's probably just because we don't have them here and I find them fascinating. Lovely photograph!

have you heard the old joke about some smart ass calling a store and asking if they have Sir Walter Raleigh in the can? if the store says yes then the caller will say."well you better let him out" this among the best representations I have seen of the castle. very good work
