Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yep! That's a long way down, but what a fun ride that would be. (I know someone who'd ride a stateboard all the way down, in Czech.) I love the perspective and the curvy feel this has...it's so nice and rounded and wet on one side. Those fluffy plants (some kind of grass) make me think of grazing animals that aren't exactly native to Earth, and needless to say, my mind's going off in one of those directions now. This is a really cool shot. It looks like my kind of place; I love cities, but open spaces like this are just as appealing, and the landscape is so varied! This is really nice.

Fantastic image and great place This morning I would like to be there, traveling back and forth with my camera and maybe femarmi occasionally to breathe the air .....

I love the idea of someone (else) going down there on a skateboard! It's like our zigzags here in Bourenmouth. But we don't have seals, just human walruses in the season.

The slight fish eye effect gives this loads of Dynamics.

Got to be in shape to get there.... I think I'll stay at the top too... Nice shot. Aloha

Great capture and very cool view

Very nice view. I don't think I'd make the trek down there either.

Going down would be a piece of cake, it's coming back up that's the challenge! What an amazing view, though; I love the sparkling sea and misty air. Lovely!

Splendid capture in this high up shot, Maz, but my acrophobia would prevent me from ever attempting doing something similar, even for photography.

I can't tell you how many times I've been up and down that part of the coast, and I've never stopped at the Sea Lion Caves. When I was a kid I always wanted to go, but somehow the romance of the idea has waned over the years. LOL! Love the long shot down. Nice!

Fantastic, what a great scene. I certainly would be temped to explore the steps.

Another splendid pov from you. I mean, this angle could be trite, as one might see this kind of angle a lot in touristy shots; but there's something about the way you do it that feels like it's being done for the first time: It's fresh and dramatic. You got a lot of linear interplay between the barn-like structure and that little hut next to it, and the angled walkway, and the little lean-to at the end of it, and the fence up front, and of course the angled shoreline. A wonderful play of lines and vectors, all kissed by beautiful land and ocean; and you have the sun obliterating the shot in the upper right, and that's a terrific contrast to the rest. Another terrific shot of this coast way. You have a great eye for this part of the country. This is terrific.
