Description
I recently went to visit some friends who live in Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. We went for a walk in Ferry Meadows Country Park. The River Nene flows through the park and it links up with the network of canals which still exists in Britain (now mostly used for recreation rather than transporting heavy bulk loads like coal and gravel as in pre-railway days). There were many boats of various types and sizes tied up along one bank and a sea of white wildflowers on the other bank. It was a lovely day - perfect for photographing such a scene as this.
