Description
Captured 5/6/14, mid day, about one quarter of a mile from home.
Okay, I throw myself once again upon the expertise of the floral connoisseurs out there in Renderosityland to help identify this colorful plant, growing ivy-like on a chain link fence. In fact, I see different varieties of this species during my walks, which generates just that more frustration.

Yep, bougainvillea for sure, riotous down there in sunny Southern California as it is in the Mediterranean. They always remind me of paper. What a lovely lineup of shots, Harry, great colour and light!

Your mystery flower grows really well in Queensland Australia, I have two large planters growing, they are never without flowers. As you will see in my gallery I have posted a photo of mine, Your close up is beautiful. They are Bougainvillea , Bambino variety , this one is called Nonya. they love the heat.

Well, several people knew what the flower was (I sure didn't!), but they're beautifully captured, with real detail and presence. And the sequence from larger view to closeup lets us see how these beauties open up (visually) as we move in closer. Beautiful hues and lines and detail and light in the beautiful leaves and their veins. And, in the bottom shot, the real presence of these whitish beauties comes home full force: They're like little desserts or flower pastries. Very finessed work, yet very bold. And beautiful. A beautiful trio, and more fine flower work from you.
