LOL, with those cloud reflections in the water I thought I was looking at the gondola of a dirigible when this first came up on the monitor. Great clarity in this one, Bill.

Ah, this is rather tricky, Bill! Looks a bit like S.F. to me. You really have great ideas to make a photograph of, my friend :).

Since most of your commenters said this played with their minds (it did with mine), I'm dying to say "I know just what this is, and I'm bored to death". But I'll spare you the cheap jokes. This is a mind bender. And a beautiful one. It's more than just a play of perspective. A wonderfully inventive capture, with the grounding objects at top, and surrounded by such sterling reflections that we think the sky reflection is actually the sky, and the boats and pier are airborne. (I assume that's a pier, or a shed, or something that the boats are sitting against.) And then the metal shaft that I assume is in reflection---the shaft that goes from the boats to the bottom of the frame. It looks like a covered metal bridge, or a big things from those old erector sets. Whatever it is---I'm showing my ignorance here---it's a terrific addition to the upside-down sense of this shot. Because it's in reflection and because it travels down rather than up, which makes it look like the boats are suspended on top of it. Beyond all the visual play, this has crystal clarity, and the mast lines (in the left half) are beautiful, thin contrasts to the bulk of the boats. It's beautiful, Bill, and a real poem to the water and to what a marina is. Really fine work and seeing from you. Bill, I'm over an hour now, and I need to rest. I would've done as many yesterday, but I fell under the weather, and just slept most of the evening. But I'll be back. What art comes from your home. And two such different and scintillating styles! It's always a pleasure to be back here.
