UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great reflections! I assume it was over in that far left front corner, and I'm trying to work out the rest of the room. LOL! Never mind. It's a great shot! :)

Prior to HFS service.........After serving with the USMC, Bad Kitty, F7F-3P, Bu No 80483, N6178C,became Tanker E-43 with Cal-Nat Airways, Sis-Q Flying Services, and was then owned by Kermit Weeks. Weeks sold her to Lea Aviation to be opreated by Plane Sailing Air Displays, Duxford, she was flown by Paul Warren Wilson from Oakland – Sioux City – Minneapolis – Sudbury – St John’s – Santa Maria – Manston – Duxford, arriving November 13th 1988. We have one of these in The Plant, and it's 'Bad Kitty'.....not quite this shiny though.... I must ask Tailspin what he's done with it....

Zoom's a must! It just explodes in chrome and beautiful black reflections and bulbous sweep and all kinds of stuff, zoomed. While I zoom everything, some images just shout to be zoomed, and this is one. It's a big in your face balloon of a plane-front; and the reflections are really vast---if you follow the lines all the way back to the left-side corner (the image's left side), it really takes you on a journey. I love that you let it balloon out to fill up the whole image. We even forget that there's an engine to the left. And the thin red "Danger/Propeller" sign is a fine contrast for this bulbous dinosaur. This image shouts "FloooooooooOOOOOOOOP!" It bursts into the frame like someone let the air into it and it inflated in 2 seconds and stayed there. That may not be an explanation pilots favor---I admit that---but it feels plastic, bulbous, big and inflating. Terrific capture of one of the many personalities of an old classic fuselage. This would be something wall-size. People would be staring at it everytime they walked past. Big, fun, splashy and splendidly sensual and shiny. Love it.
